Final Justice (Pik lik sin fung, 1988))

One of Stephen Chow's slashier outings, at least of what I've seen so far. Of course, he's paired with Danny Lee here, which might explain a lot (Danny being the total slash magnet that he is.) This is of Stephen's earlier films, when he was doing more action than his later insane comedies, and he's so young! So ripe for corruption! He plays a young car thief trying to win his way into favor with Judge, a gangster just out of prison. Danny Lee is the renegade cop who, after arresting Stephen, convinces him to be an informant and help him get Judge and his gang.

It's a tight little story and Danny and Stephen are so delicious together. The arrest scene is hilarious and features much groping, a kick to the crotch, a gun to the crotch...you get the idea. Stephen gets beaten up, angsts and cries repeatedly. Danny cries when he thinks Stephen's dead. There is much touching, being handcuffed together...ah. Yes. This is the shit, folks.

SUMMARY:

Overall rating: A Why, it's slashy, AND it's a pretty good film! How can you go wrong?

Droolworthiness: A Stephen is such a hot little fuck toy here, as a friend of mine put it so well. Danny looks delicious as well in his brown leather jacket, tight jeans, and black gloves. As an added bonus, there's even Ken Lo in the background as one of Danny's coworkers. Ken is always good eye candy, even though he doesn't get in any real action here.

Slashiness: A Swoon. These boys are so good together.

Action: C+ The only place where this film falls down a bit. The gun fights aren't nearly as exciting as in many other films and there isn't much hand-to-hand stuff (except Danny groping Stephen, as described earlier...)

Danny grabs himself a nice piece of prime Sing Chi...
