Grand Master of Death

Blandly routine revenge flick starring Fu Sheng, who is about the only reason to bother with this one. He plays a young man always stumbling into trouble, especially with the local troublemaking gangs, so he goes off to improve his kung fu so he can come back and kick their asses. Yawn. I wanted to like it, really I did, but it just didn't thrill me.

SUMMARY:

Overall rating: C- It's not necessarily BAD, it's just not very engaging.

Droolworthiness: B Fu Sheng bears chest. A lot.

Slashiness: F Nothing. Nada. Zilch.

Action: C+ A few decent fight scenes, but it's hard to really get worked up about them considering everything else around them is so dull.
